Support my challenge for Australian hearts
This October, Zak and I are doing MyMarathon.
Zak has recently smashed his elbow and has just got the pins out - but it's still going to be several weeks before he's allowed to do anything more active than walking to make sure it heals properly.
To keep fit and help burn off some of his excess energy, the MyMarathon challenge has come along at exactly the right time!
As well as walking the 42kms with Zak, I've set myself an additional target of running the extra distance to reach a total of 60kms throughout the month of October.
Having just clocked up 10 years working with the Heart Foundation, I am reminded every way of the toll this disease has on people and their families across Australia and around the world. That's why I take part in the MyMarathon challenge every year - plus it's a great time to shake off winter hibernation habits and get more active as daylight savings kicks in.
Please join me or Zak by signing up for the challenge yourself AND/OR making a donation to our fundraising efforts!
