I have been participating in My Marathon since 2019 in honour of my dad Andrew Parker. This year I am also doing it in support of my cousin Sam. In August 2023  Sam was diagnosed with a heart condition after suffering 2 heart attacks at only 36. 

On the 8th January 2019 my family and I lost my dad to sudden and fatal heart attack. He was only 56 years old.  His birthday is in October so doing My Marathon every year is something I look forward to. To not only honour his memory but to hopefully help families not go through what mine has. My dad was the sweetest, kindest, loud, smart, caring and most endearing man I have ever known. I miss him every single day.  Until we meet again Dad,  I’ll be forever looking for you somewhere over the rainbow. I love you forever and I hope I can make you proud🌈
