Support my challenge for Australian hearts
10th November 2021, 3wks after a complicated birth of my son, I went into heart failure. I developed a rare type of Cardiomyopathy, Peripartum cardiomyopathy.
This October, I’ll be doing my personal best to raise funds to support The Heart Foundation. I received a lot of information through the Heart Foundation including how to access cardiac rehabilitation- which was so beneficial to my recovery.
Coming up is 2 years from his birth and i’m going to conquer 42 km during October (a marathon) to raise funds for heart disease research that will help save lives. This will definitely be a marathon for me!
Heart disease is the leading cause of death in Australia, and I want to do something to support the thousands of Aussies whose lives are impacted by this disease every single day.
