How to log kilometres

There are multiple ways to add kilometres to your MyMarathon fundraising page, either through the fitness app of your choice or by entering distances manually.

How to log kilometres with MapMyFitness

Step 1: If you have not signed up for mapmyfitness, simply download the app onto your mobile device and follow the on screen instructions.

Step 2: Log into your fundraising page using your sign-in of choice.

Step 3: Go to 'your account' on your everydayhero fundraising page.

Step 4: Press manage connections

Step 5: Scroll down and click the dark blue connect button

Step 6: Login using your mapmyfitness details

Step 7: Press authorise

Step 8: Now your account is connected.

Step 9: Scroll down and add the connection to your fundraising page

Step 10: Then in mapmyfitness select workouts

Step 11: Pick a workout

Step 12: Press edit

Step 13: Then Privacy.

Step 14: Ensure that your workout is set to Everyone

Step 15: You can now log your distance completed through Map My fitness on your fundraising page

How to log kilometres with Strava

Step 1: If you have not signed up for Strava, simply download the app onto your mobile device and follow the on screen instructions.

Step 2: Log into your fundraising page using your sign-in of choice.

Step 3: Go to ’your account’ on your everydayhero fundraising page.

Step 4: Press manage connections

Step 5: Scroll down and click the orange connect button

Step 6: Login using your Strava details

Step 7: Press authorise

Step 8: Now your account is connected.

Step 9: Scroll down and add the connection to your fundraising page

Step 10: Be sure to make your activity public and share through the Strava app

Step 11: You can now log your distance completed through Strava on your fundraising page

How to log kilometres with Fitbit

Step 1: Log into your fundraising page using your sign-in of choice.

Step 2: Go to ’your account’ on your everydayhero fundraising page.

Step 3: Press manage connections

Step 4: Scroll down and click the teal connect button

Step 5: Login using your Fitbit details

Step 6: Select 'Allow All' and then click the allow button.

Step 7: Now your account is connected.

Step 8: Scroll down and add the connection to your fundraising page.

*Fitbit activities can be recorded via start/stop tracking in the Fitbit device, linking to smart-track, or manually entering fitness activities post-event.

How to log kilometres manually


Step 1:
Log in to your account

Step 2: Go to your fundraising page

Step 3: To log your kilometres manually, you will first need to log into your supporter page.

Step 4: Press the running man "FITNESS" under the update box (Please note, if you cannot see this, you are not logged in.)

Step 5: Enter the amount of kilometres you've walked/run

Step 6: Press Post

Step 7: Now all your donors can see how hard you're working! Don't forget to share it on Facebook too by clicking the Share button underneath!

Step 8: Just remember – don’t manually log any kilometres that you’ve used a fitness app to track – we will already have those logged.
