Returned to the treadmill after 2 days off after a tummy bug. Feeling better now. I eased back into things slowly.  This is a picture that sits on our mantle piece of my Twins girls and Bobby’s best friend Angus. I had another special phone call from Angus from the Heart Foundation today…. What a lovely surprise ♥️♥️♥️

Wow!

I didn’t realize but only 13 days in and I’ve reached the half way goal to 42.2 kms over October. My goal is to go past the expected marathon

October 13

Well decided on a day time trot on the tready, I think I prefer night time as it’s cooler.  My face is like a beetroot but hey all for the cause. It’s doing wonders for my health and fitness also. Got to keep the dogs from trying to get on the tready as I could see Daisy being suctioned into the rollers 😂

October 12

Walked in the dark of night. Watched old cartoons and it made it easy to walk 2.01kms with a dicky hip.  Nearly half way

October 11

Out all day today with mum and dad and home to a quick 1.4 km walk.

October 10

Today I didn’t walk and I completely understood the old adage of Its ok not to be ok.
There are just some days where it’s ok to feel down for whatever reason.
But always remember to reach out to someone if you can. ♥️♥️♥️

October 9

After tip toeing throw the tulips 🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷at Tesselaars I came home to a small leisurely walk.           ( 1.5kms)  today.

Sunday 8th

Sunday? Day of rest? Don’t think so. Banged our 2.1 kms watching the end of The Castle. Laughed all the way to the end. ♥️♥️

October 7

See’s me back on track after a beautiful day out for Bobby’s 26th birthday.
The treadmill outside gives me a breath of fresh air and I can watch a movie also.

October 6 Birthday day!

Today we celebrate your life. Only 14 years you could give us but we loved and cherished every minute of those years. No walking today as we spent family time together, had a special dinner, sang at 8.28pm and ate cake. Mum even had a cocktail at dinner! Back to the hard yakka tomorrow to work it all off. Love you buddy ♥️♥️♥️

October 5

Walked to the sound of frogs and crickets in the backyard on the treadmill. Tomorrow is the big day, he would have been 26. Cake day! ♥️♥️♥️

October 4

Big day visiting my parents then dinner with my hubby. So a quick 15 minute walk in the dark ( 1km)

October 3

My friend Kazzie’s birthday today. Even though she is not a person who was affected by heart disease but she did have a life threatening stroke in her early 40’s due to an aneurysm. To me she’s inspiring, she has a strong heart to be able to survive and come back from that. She’s just amazing…. She loved my son so much and today she was my drive and inspiration ♥️

October 2

Was going to be a warm day here so up early snd walked another 2kms whilst still thinking of our dear friend in ICU.♥️

October 1

Got a nagging hip issue which I’ve had for months but soldiered on for a dear friend who had a heart attack today. We wish him so much love and hope he has a speedy recovery ❤️‍🩹

Support my challenge for Australian hearts

This October, I’ll be doing my personal best to raise funds to support The Heart Foundation.

I’m going to conquer 42 km to raise funds for heart disease research that will help save lives.

Heart disease is the leading cause of death in Australia, and I want to do something to support the thousands of Aussies whose lives are impacted by this disease every single day.

Join me and help save Aussie hearts by making a donation to my page.

Together, we can win the race against heart disease.
