I’m doing my personal best for Australian hearts.

I’m back to take on the Heart Foundation’s MyMarathon this October, with an even bigger goal.

Last year I walked 120 km throughout October and I’m aiming to double that this yearwhich means I’ve got to get moving from day one.

This challenge is all about supporting a cause that’s (literally) close to my heart: last year, on my 50th birthday, Ihad a heart attack and needed a triple bypass.

It was a massive wake-up call.

Now I’m signing up for the second time and I’m ready to donate another innings, not just for my heart health, but for Australian hearts.

For me, MyMarathon is about improving your heart health, raising awareness of the Heart Foundation and heart disease and getting everyone to understand that a heart attack can happen to you at any stage.

So come on, join me Australia. Join my team!

Let’s get active, whether that’s in your backyard, local park or city streets. Let’s smash this fundraising target and help raise vital funds to support heart disease research.

G'day Darren Congratulations on another super effort mate, great to see you looking so fit & healthy. All the best with the upcoming cricket season and your endeavours. 2 years gone since my cricket adventure, gee time flies. I still get people contact me to say how much they enjoyed your foreword. Been a tough slog in Melbourne but hopefully just about to come out the other side. Im coaching the boys Jack (9) and Harry (7) in cricket which will be a lot of fun.. I think my whites will stay in the closet this season. I played a veteran's game last year and Tony Dodemaide hit me to all corners...as it turns out my elite off season prep of entirely backyard cricket against the kids proved ineffective. In a couple of years hopefully the kids are still playing and I can join them. Look after yourself mate and all the best to you, Andrea and the kids. Regards, Craig Dodson
