About DES Environmental Policy and Planning
The Department of Environment and Science (Queensland Government) plays an important role as stewards of Queensland’s natural environment and cultural and built heritage to ensure these unique assets are protected and sustainably managed for future generations to enjoy. Within DES, the Environmental Policy and Planning Division develops and coordinates the department’s environment and heritage policy, planning and legislative frameworks.
At EPP(DES) we are helping our staff be well, work well and stay well. We are encouraging staff for the month of October to run, walk, jog, wheel or swim the distance of a marathon (or more!) to get fit, have fun and raise funds to fight Australia's biggest killer - heart disease.
Social media toolkit
Whether you’re a Facebook poster, a Tweeter, an Instagrammer or all three, our social pics and posts are the perfect way to tell everyone about your challenge. Don’t forget to share the link to your fundraising page and #MyMarathonAU.
“I’m looking forward to the challenge. Being able to walk, jog or run where I want and when I want throughout the entire month of October make it realistic that I’ll be able to go the distance…and if I can do it anyone can!”
